Chad Akers
Owner
Chad Akers is a Virginia-certified residential appraiser and co-owner of Anthony Appraisers. Chad started working to obtain his appraisal license in 1994, after attending Old Dominion University. Chad grew up in Northern Virginia and is familiar with real estate market trends and values in the area. In his over 25 years in the appraisal business, he has completed numerous amounts of appraisal reports. Chad also holds a Class A contractor’s license and is knowledgeable in all facets of the home construction process.
In his free time, you may see him playing with his dogs or out on one of his motorcycles enjoying the day.
Kristi Crum
Certified Real Estate Appraiser
Kristi began her career in the appraisal industry as an office manager for an appraisal company in 2004. She became a realtor in 2005 and an appraiser in 2009. She is a certified residential real estate appraiser in Virginia and Maryland. She has completed numerous courses and attended seminars to further improve her practice, such as McKissock’s “The Cost Approach” and “Supporting Your Adjustments Methods for Residential Appraisers.” Kristi listed and sold foreclosures during the market crash in 2008. She possesses the skills to navigate through a variety of real estate and appraisal situations.
Born and raised in the Mount Vernon, VA area, Kristi and her husband moved to the Lake Anna area in 2015 and are raising their daughter there. She has been in real estate since 2005 and joined our team in 2011.
Jessica Karroll
Certified real estate Appraiser
Jessica was born and raised in Northern Virginia. A proud graduate of Virginia Tech, she’s been in the appraisal business since 2013. She has worked as an appraiser in Alabama and Virginia.
Jessica lives in Chantilly with her husband and their two dogs, Jack and Pippi.
Alissa Nachtwey
Operations Manager
Alissa, our operations manager, brings over 20 years of expertise in the insurance industry, real estate, project management, and business development. Born into a military family, Alissa had the opportunity to travel worldwide before spending several years in Northern Virginia.
She resides in southern Maryland with her husband and son, where they share in their love of Washington Capitals hockey and Nationals baseball.
Sharon Chasles
Certified Residential Appraiser
Sharon, a Frederick county, Maryland resident, has been a certified residential appraiser since 2010. She has experience with many appraisal needs relating to land, estate and tract home appraisals, appraisal reviews, as well as pre and post renovation appraisals to name a few.
In her free time, she enjoys riding vintage motorcycles, listening to live music and being outdoors.
Brendon Kelley
Certified Real Estate Appraiser
Brendon Kelley has over 25 years of residential real estate appraisal experience in the DC metro area. He also has experience as a mortgage loan officer and as the Chief Appraiser and Operations Director of a national appraisal management company.
Michael "Anthony" Magnotti
Our Founder
Anthony Appraisers was founded by Michael “Anthony” Magnotti in the mid-1980s. Chad Akers started working with Mike in 1994, and by 2000, the two became partners in the business. Their partnership and friendship shaped the company for nearly 25 years.
In September 2024, Mike tragically lost his battle with cancer. His wisdom, leadership, and friendship left a lasting mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Mike’s guidance and teachings will continue to inspire the work we do each day.
