Michael Magnotti
Michael founded Anthony Appraisers in 1989. As a Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser, Realtor, and investor for the last 35 years, Mike is an expert on the real estate market and appraisal industry in the DMV area. He has completed over 30,000 appraisals and frequently advises realtors, appraisers, and builders regarding the appraisal industry. He has completed countless hours of continuing education, seminars, and other training to stay current with the industry. Anthony Appraisers is known throughout the Washington Metro area for its efficient and professional appraisals.
Mike was a founding member of the National Association of Realtors Appraisal Section, has chaired the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors Appraisal Section, and has chaired the appraisal sub-committee. and recognized as Businessman of the Year by the Vienna Chamber of Commerce in 2001. He has been an active member of the community for decades. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing and vacationing in Florida with his beautiful wife of 36 years.
Chad Akers
Chad Akers is a Virginia Certified Residential Appraiser and co-owner of Anthony Appraisers. Chad started working to obtain his appraisal license in 1994, after attending Old Dominion University. Chad grew up in Northern Virginia and is very familiar with real estate market trends and values in the area. In his over 25 years in the appraisal business, he has completed numerous amount of appraisal reports. Chad also holds a Class A contractor’s license and is knowledgeable in all facets of the home construction process. In his free time, you may see him playing with his dogs or out on one of his motorcycles enjoying the day.
Richard Magnotti
Richard joined Anthony Appraisers in 2019 and has championed continued growth for the company. He is a managing partner and efficiently handles administrative business. He is currently completing coursework to become a Licensed Appraiser. He also holds an active Real Estate license with Samson Properties. In his free time, he enjoys family game nights and spending time outdoors with his wife, two girls, and their pets. Richard is a dedicated member of our team with a broad skill set. He will flawlessly navigate through anything you may need to ensure a high-quality appraisal experience.
Andrew Kelso
Andrew is a father, an outdoorsman, and a great appraiser. He currently resides in the Warrenton, VA area.
He began appraising back in 2004, became certified in 2010, and has been working with us for 18 years. Andrew brings a lot of experience and a great attitude to the team.
Kristi Crum
Kristi began her career in the appraisal industry as an office manager for an appraisal company in 2004. She became a realtor in 2005 and an appraiser in 2009. She is a Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser in Virginia and Maryland. She has completed numerous courses and attended seminars to further improve her practice, such as McKissock’s “The Cost Approach” and “Supporting Your Adjustments Methods for Residential Appraisers”. Kristi listed and sold foreclosures during the market crash in 2008. She possesses the skills to navigate through a variety of real estate and appraisal situations.
Born and raised in the Mount Vernon, VA area, Kristi and her husband moved to the Lake Anna area in 2015 and are raising their daughter there. She has been in real estate since 2005 and joined our team in 2011.
Jessica Karroll
Jessica was born and raised in northern Virginia. A proud graduate of Virginia Tech, she’s been in the appraisal business since 2013. She has worked as an appraiser in Alabama and Virginia. Jessica lives in Chantilly with her husband and their two dogs, Jack and Pippi.
Sean Baker
Sean has been a real estate appraiser for 25 years. He enjoys his profession and the wonderful people he gets to meet. A father of two – four, if you count his dogs – Sean loves the outdoors, fishing, hunting, hiking, football, etc.
Regina Heising
Regina has been a Maryland Certified Residential Appraiser since 2012, is FHA approved, and has been an Accredited Green Appraiser since 2014. She has experience in the valuation of green/sustainable homes, historic properties, waterfront properties, new and proposed construction, FHA, As-Is and As-Repaired, multi-family, rental properties, appraisal reviews, and forensic appraisal reviews.
Regina has a BA in Criminology from the University of Maryland. Before starting her career in real estate appraisal, she was a police officer for the Arlington County VA Police Department. Regina is an avid motorcycle rider (the Blue Ridge Parkway is her favorite ride) and plays guitar. She travels to Ireland, whenever possible, to visit her extended family. She also enjoys visiting Ocean City to walk on the beach!
Sharon Chasles
Sharon, a Frederick County, Maryland resident, has been a Certified Residential Appraiser since 2010. She has experience with many appraisal needs relating to land, estate and tract home appraisals, appraisal reviews, as well as pre and post renovation appraisals to name a few. In her free time, she enjoys riding vintage motorcycles, listening to live music and being outdoors.
